ေႏြကို ရွက္မိသည္
အရြက္မ့ဲစြာ
အလွမ့ဲစြာ
အေၿခြအရံမ့ဲစြာ
အရိုးတံခ်ည္းသာ ရွိေသာ ကာလမွာ
ငွက္ကေလးမ်ားသည္လည္းေကာင္း
ပန္းပန္လိုသူ အပ်ိဴတစ္သိုက္တို ့သည္လည္းေကာင္း
အပင္နားကို မသိၾကေပ ။
အပင္ေအာက္ကို မရာက္လာၾကေပ ။
ထိုေရာကာလမွာမွ
လာေရာက္ ခိုနား ပ်ံထြက္သြားေလေသာ
အမည္မသိ ငွက္ကေလးရယ္
မင္းေလးကို
ခုတိုင္
ေအာက္ေမ့ ေက်ူးဇူးတင္ဆဲပါကြယ္...

The Beloved

The great Thitpoke tree
Is shy of the summer,
When denuded of leaves,
Stripped of beauty,
Bereft of companions,
It has only is bony Frame

The little brids,
The flower-loving maidens
Do not approch it.
No one comes beneath it.

O thou nameless little bird
Which even now
Flies here and yonder...

Even as yet
I gratefully remember
Thee...
